This home featured is such a cute ranch style home. Linda called me to help her put her personal stamp on it. We had a lot of fun choosing the pieces for her cozy living room plus we were able to use a few (the loveseat and ottoman) that she had purchased through me a few years back. Those pieces had been used in her lower level room for viewing TV, but found she didn’t use that room.  These neutral pieces gave us a great jumping off point. Once I discovered how she wanted this room to function, we were able to add pieces that brought this great little space up to date and ready for all the uses she had hoped for. This layout allowed her to enjoy television, entertaining friends and family, and an interesting credenza in the window with storage that also allowed for seating where she could enjoy the great view of her front yard.  Early on we were going to use her ottoman that she had requested keeping from her sectional for a coffee table. However, this one we used brought up from her lower level room was a much better choice; not only the round shape, but it added our accent color which Linda enjoyed.

The large round mirror which was like a piece of art, gave some great reflection of light and added a little more of Linda’s personality to the space. Hanging the drapery panels helped to accentuate and soften the windows while adding height to her space by hanging them from the ceiling. By keeping the colors basically  neutral throughout this 210 square foot room, with a few pops of color, it allows the room (and those in it) to live large. The many textures (notice mirror, table, upholstery fabrics, drapery), keep the neutral palette interesting and help add a bit more of  Linda’s personality to the space.

“I liked the way Debbie listened to my ideas and then made them happen in the design. It is truly a skill. She is passionate about design and is able to provide her services using that passion.” Linda R. / R.N.
